<description>@Jacob: It depends on two aspects...

a) How long will it take until those people that already followed you at the time you joined follow your lead and join as well? As they have been already followers of yours, you will benefit once they join on those followers of theirs that didn&#039;t follow you already start using TweeterGetter.

b) Are you sharing your TweeterGetter link in other ways? I share it for example in this blog post so people that see it here and use it will become Twitter followers of mine. Are you sharing your TweeterGetter link in any other ways?

<description>@Vipula: At least some part of it... I would recommend to still use all other methods as well.

		<description>Hi Frank

That a great result to say the least.

Am now up almost 600 and counting.

If you looking for the massive approach this is the way to go for sure.

Just tweet valuable content to your followers and they will continue to follow you.

As I see it the more in your network using this the faster your followers increase.

<description>@Darren: Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts on this. I agree that everybody using the exact same tweet is something that should be improved by letting people choose what they will RT or at least circulating through a number of different tweet texts,

Also, I can understand your Twitter list building point. The good thing is that nobody is forced to use this tool. Those that don&#039;t mind this mass approach can use it and those that prefer the slow or &quot;natural&quot; way as Joel Comm calls it, can simply not use it,

<description>I&#039;m not so sure that this is a good move on a number of fronts:

1. its spammy - over 3000 tweets have been made that are exactly the same promoting this. Anyone who knows anything about Twitter knows that thousands of tweets like that sends a fairly spammy signal both about those behind it and those who send the tweets.

2. I really struggle with seeing the worth of increasing followers at all costs and not really worrying about who they are or why they are following you. Like you say in comments above there are two ways of thinking about this - but in my experience the best followers to get are followers who make a decision to follow you based upon a desire to connect with YOU and a genuine interest in what you tweet about and who you are. Getting random followers who have no interest in anything more than getting more followers not only feels empty (to me) but also leaves you with a pretty unfocused and unrelational list. Sure a certain percentage will probably stick around and interact well - but it all seems backwards to me.

I know we all have our differences on this but this is my two cents on this and as I tweeted about it today and got around 100 responses from my followers the dominant feedback that I got back was that people saw this as spam, that they found it annoying and that some were going as far to unfollow people who were engaging in this and blocking the organizer.

Again - this is just my two cents worth. Each to their own, but consider that there could be some risks associated with getting involved.</description>
