Just thought I’d share this for everyone who uses only Dropbox.com (as I have done until recently).
It’s pretty much the same as Dropbox.com in terms of functionality but with 2 big differences…
1. With “Copy” you can get 15-20 GB free storage to begin with plus 5 GB extra per referral. The big downfall with Dropbox.com, as my buddy Ben Brandes explained to me, is you get 2 GB free so he purchased the 100 GB plan, when he shares certain folders with staff members it also uses up THEIR storage (which is usually only 2 GB). So he’d usually have to re-organize folders all the time or pay to upgrade their accounts too.
2. You can allocate storage. For example if I have a folder that is 1 GB that I need to share with staff, I allocate that 1 GB to my account and it uses MY storage. If I share that with people it doesn’t come off THEIR storage as it’s been allocated to MY storage (unlike Dropbox.com where a 1GB folder is taken off everyone’s storage).
NOTE: Signing up at www.Copy.com will get you 15 GB storage, through my affiliate link will get you 20 GB storage free (but you need to install the app and confirm your email to activate it).
Hope that helps!
