<p>After all, up-selling is a technique employed by leading e-commerce sites to boost their sales and though you may be some light years away from them, this could be used by you effectively too. And though this is a technique, there is not a lot different from up-selling and selling by themselves!</p>
<p>There are many ways you could up-sell a product, but before we get into knowing the easiest method, know that an up-sell is a product you wish to sell immediately after he has bought the first one. Needless to say, the second product or the product to be up-sold has to be related to the first product bought by the customer.</p>
<p>To the point – The easiest method to up-sell is to work on the &#8216;checkout&#8217; page!</p>
<p>What you can do with the Checkout Page?</p>
<p>I’m not asking you to redesign the entire webpage. Follow this process to uncover the easiest method to up-sell.</p>
<p>First, identify your webpage which you want to include the upsell. It could be your product page, salesletter page, your newsletter subscription page, your thank you page and so on.</p>
<p>Then just add an option for them to include MORE products before they &#8216;checkout&#8217;.</p>
<p>So if it’s a newsletter subscription page, ask them if they want to include a free trial offer to your other paid product before they click &#8220;Register&#8221; on your newsletter page.</p>
<p>If your page is a salesletter webpage, give them an option to include another of your product before they click the &#8220;Order Now&#8221; button.</p>
<p>Here’s another example – if your webpage is a shopping cart, you can always &#8216;upsell&#8217; your prospects for them to add more quantity of the product that they&#8217;re buying.</p>
<p>The list goes on.</p>
<p>Here are some things you would like to watch out for while up-selling:</p>
<p>- The product you up-sell needs to be somewhat related to the product the customer bought. The closer the correlation, the better it is for you because you&#8217;ll get more sales. </p>
<p>- Write your up-selling ad as carefully and diligently as you would have designed your sales ad. Just the fact that the customer bought one product from you doesn’t mean he is sure to buy another!</p>
<p>- Up-sell but don’t push – Pushing is bad for any form of selling and the same applies in up-selling too. Inform the customer about your product and leave the choice to him. Also, bear in mind that you&#8217;re adding more value to your customer by offering greater solutions to them in your upsell products.</p>
<p>The method to up-sell your product is not as tough as you would have thought it to be. Basically, if you’re not integrating any upsell in your sales funnel, you’re literally losing money.</p>
<p>It&#8217;ll cost you more time, effort and money to acquire a new customer compare to selling to an existing customer who already trust you and like your product. </p>

<p>To have a successful <a class="zem_slink" title="Internet marketing" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_marketing" target="_blank">Internet Marketing</a> business, you first need to have visitors to your site, and there are several ways to do this, however, this post is going to focus on one particular area.</p>
<p>There are an unlimited number of online forums and Internet communities that are based around varied interests and niches.  The key is to find one that is centered around your particular <a class="zem_slink" title="Niche market" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niche_market" target="_blank">niche</a>.</p>

<p>When you become part of an <a class="zem_slink" title="Internet forum" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_forum" target="_blank">Internet Forum</a>, you can become a local forum expert in your niche, which will magically boost your sales and build an astounding amount of traffic to your site.  You have to be careful though, these forums do not look kindly on <a class="zem_slink" title="Advertising" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advertising" target="_blank">advertising</a>, so you have to make you are there providing valuable comments and good content, therefore, creating a soft sell, less conspicuous.</p>
<p>On most online communities and forums, you are able to create your profile which will include your signature.  Each time you post a comment, your signature will be included along with a link to your <a class="zem_slink" title="Website" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Website" target="_blank">website</a>.  Become familiar however, with the forum before you begin to post, read what others are saying and doing, familiarize yourself with the forum rules, and be sure to abide by them to keep yourself from being banned&#8230; which will undo all you are working for.</p>
<p><strong>Forum Tips:</strong></p>
<p>1. Make your signature brief, but powerful.  Offer something of value, such as an e-course or an <span class="misspell">ebook</span> or report.  It is important that this is located in your signature and never in your comment or post.  Keep it simple, short and to the point.  If you have a free report or <span class="misspell">ebook</span>, make the title a live link.</p>

As you are reading the forums, what kind of questions are asked, what are the topics focused around?  Post one of your articles that answer some of these questions, give tips, techniques, and other useful information that the members will benefit from immediately.  By doing this, you are showing that you are an expert in this area, and you will be sought after for more information and answers&#8230; then they will seek out your website for even more answers.</p>
<p>Also, your name will be shown as someone who starts the topic threads, and your topic will soon be at the top, again, showing you as the forum expert.  This a great way to advertise.  If you were to start a new topic each week, by the end of the year, you will have 52 expert articles on the forum with your name, your link and a growing reputation.</p>
<p>3. <a class="zem_slink" title="Instant messaging &amp; messengers" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant_messaging_%26_messengers" target="_blank">Private messaging</a> is another form of communication that you should take advantage of.  As you are sending <a class="zem_slink" title="Message" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Message" target="_blank">messages</a> to others, you will include your link to your website or direct them to your site in some way.  You can&#8217;t push your website, but it can be recommended by others.</p>
<p>You will develop a <a class="zem_slink" title="Virtual community" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_community" target="_blank">community</a> feel inside these forums, and as you become a part of the community, you will begin to reap the benefits.  You also get a great feel of your audience and what type of solutions and products they are looking for and become their source of information to solve those problems.</p>
<p>So, as you use this strategy, you will bring in new readers on a daily basis and have a huge referral base that is ever growing.  Begin checking out the many online communities and forums on the Internet&#8230; you will be amazed at how many there are.  Have fun and enjoy your success.</p>

Because <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1A9lYC3g-0" title="Internet" rel="youtube" class="zem_slink">the Internet</a> is growing so rapidly, there are numerous ways for you to do this very successfully.  But before I give the methods that work, you need to create in yourself a mindset of success, determination, a belief in innumerable  possibilities, and excitement.  You need to be willing to do what it takes to create the traffic, willing to do the research and then you will reap the benefits of your efforts.</p>
<p>Below I will list briefly 7 easy and proven ways that will assist you in generating free traffic to your website, then in future posts, I will take each one and go into more detail as to the best way to implement them.  With these tools, and your research, you will have what it takes to create success.</p>
<p><strong>1. Online Forums and Communities</strong></p>
<p>There are numerous forums and social communities on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wide_Web" title="World Wide Web" rel="wikipedia" class="zem_slink">the web</a>, each one serving a demographic of your interest.  You will find here a place to talk about your niche, become an expert in this topic.  You will build your brand and reputation with a group of users that are interested in what you have to say, while you develop their trust in your knowledge.</p>
<p><strong>2. Newsletters</strong></p>
<p>A newsletter is a great way to get your message to your readers and visitors to your website.  The more readers you get for your newsletter, the more traffic to your site.  You can create a newsletter that is not only entertaining, but something that is filled with useful articles and information that your readers will want to pass on to their friends and family.</p>
<p><strong>3. Linking to Other Sites</strong></p>
<p>There is a lot to be gained by visiting others websites and exchanging links, something to be gained by both sites. This is a great way to increase traffic to your website. You want to create articles with tips, how to information, guides and knowledge that has to do with your niche.  You will also be including a link or a small description of your website, product or company, then submit your articles to the multiple article directories.</p>

RSS Feeds are a way to increase the number of readers, which is a big step in getting your brand and product out among the web.</p>

<p>A great tool that allows you to link with other people in a social network, a way to connect with an organization or a group of people with the same interests.
